IDCheckCanada is an established fingerprinting agency located in Montreal providing best Digital and Ink & Roll Fingerprinting . We use cutting edge LiveScan digital fingerprinting technology that allows us to submit the applicant’s fingerprints electronically thus reducing the turnaround time to 72 hours. The applicant may receive a certified result in 3 business days by mail either to the applicant’s home address or a designated third party. We also do Ink & Roll fingerprints for various purposes on form c-216c  or Fingerprint Card FD-258. Please be advised that in cases where a criminal record is encountered or where the applicant name is matching with somebody else the processing time may take up to 120 days.

Pardons and Waivers

The following is the typical SEVEN STEP pardon process that you can expect. There will rarely be any deviation from the steps listed below:

  • Step 1 – The first thing you obviously need to do is to apply online using our secure application form.
  • Step 2 – Once you fill in the form, you will receive a reply to the email address you use that basically confirms your details and payment.
  • Step 3 – In the next 24h after you application, one of our consultants will get in touch with you and explain the entire process to you
  • Step 4 – You sign a statement indicating that you have authorized us to handle your pardon and to act as your representatives in all matters pertaining to your pardon application
  • Step 5 – We provide you with all the necessary and supplementary documents, make sure all requests such as finger prints, police and court records are prepared and received as well as make sure all this is done within the expected timeframe
  • Step 6 – We submit your application to the concerned government departments and monitor the progress of your application
  • Step 7 – Once your pardon is granted, we promptly notify you of the same

Waivers

It is illegal to attempt to enter the U.S. with a criminal record, Applying for a US entry waiver is generally less tedious . Once you register, we ask to sign a sworn statement which will be availed to you once you make a part payment of the fees. The statement authorizes us to act as your representatives and underscores your commitment to the process. We then proceed to process your waiver request with the US Department of Homeland Security. We commit ourselves to:

  • Working with the US Department of Homeland Security and other US agencies.
  • Ensure you understand the entire process.
  • Creating and collecting all the documents needed.
  • Making sure your file us up-to-date
  • Processing all requests and documentation from agencies
  • Providing a background check to improve the credibility of your application

Background Check and police clearances

Criminal Background Check

In Canada a criminal background check,record check, police check, police certificate, CPIC Check or police clearance) is a search of Canadian Police Information Center (CPIC) database based on applicant’s name and date of birth or fingerprints to determine whether the individual has a criminal record.

ID Check Canada provides same day service in our Montreal office for Criminal Background Check for the purposes of employment, foreign travel, work permits, visa applications, volunteer work at a school or organization, real estate license, taxi license, trucking license and other civil purposes.

We provide original police clearance or CPIC Check, depending on your organization’s requirements, on the basis of either the applicant’s name and date of birth only, or using fingerprints (if a criminal record is discovered) using our Live Scan Technology that allows us submission of fingerprints electronically to RCMP database. Turnaround time for these criminal background checks is 3 to 4hrs.

Please make sure to bring two of the following IDs with you when you visit :

  • Passport (Canadian or Foreign)
  • Drivers License (Canadian or Foreign)
  • Birth Certificate
  • Canadian Citizenship Card
  • Permanent Resident (PR) Card
  • Ontario Identification Card
  • Certificate of Indian Status
  • Firearm Acquisition Certificate
  • Military ID Card
  • Any other ID card issued by Municipal, Provincial or Federal Department

Please note that as per RCMP requirement we accept only original IDs or certified copies as secondary ID only. One of the two IDs has to have applicant’s photo and signature on it.
